As part of the Youth for the Future's Enterprise Unit, 8 young men who are part of the program will get a chance to earn a pay check. On Monday morning a group of young men will be leaving Belize City to Jaguar Paw where they will assist in the production of a music video. They won't be dancers or directors, they'll be the ones lugging equipment around during the shooting session. It's tough going, but it is a job, and it is a paycheck for these at risk youths. The gig is just for one and a half weeks, and organizer Douglas Hyde told us why it's significant.

Douglas Hyde, YFF
"They are shooting a video this week, this coming week, and so they needed young persons to work with them in terms of moving around equipments and materials and stuff like that so they contacted the Unit which works closely with us and what we worked out is to get at-risk young persons within the age of 14 to 19 to work for the whole week with the Jaguar Paw group.

What we're looking at in this case is that these young persons for that week would have been doing nothing and the idea of letting them go on this work is to learn also about video making and stuff like that and also give them a chance to be out of the city for a week."

The 8 young men will be working for one week and will be earning in the rage of $70 a day.
