"All the athletes had to was write an essay, a 250 word essay explaining the importance of sports in the primary school curriculum and also how sport has impacted their personal life. They had to get an acceptance letter from the high school which they will attend and also their PSE results. As a result of that we have a selection committee and Ms. Kira Arnold from St. John's Vianney was the winner of this high school scholarship."

And so this is one way of showing her gratitude for what she got from softball. And so she is now giving back to softball and to a deserving student the opportunity to go to high school and to continue playing softball."
The scholarship will cover tuition, books and a portion of the uniform expenses for Kira Arnold.
