If you’ve ever gotten confused or frustrated while trying to get the title for a piece of land, help is now available. It is contained in the Land Titles Unit Information Manual. It is a little book but the Ministry of Natural Resources says it will be a big help. Legal Counsel Douglas Carr says it make getting a land title user friendly.
Douglas Carr, Legal Counsel
“This booklet is a guide for users of the Land Titles Unit. It is both one which provides rules for the customers, members of the public, to present to them documents that are recordable and would meet the requirements under the law and our policies. It also provides a guide for officials within the unit as to the processes which they should take to complete a document.”
The manual will be available at all of the Ministry’s offices countrywide and shortly online on its website. The Ministry plans to create similar manuals for the other seven units, most notably the Registry.
