And while those squatters have issues with the police tonight, in Scotland Half Moon and Isabella Bank, the fuss is all about the Mennonite managed schools in those communities.

Indeed, the schools have been there for decades, but a new set of school rules - along with a listing of new fees issued last week - has some parents in an uproar. They say it calls for an 800% increase in fees and re-introduces corporal punishment just as it is being outlawed everywhere else in the country.

They came to our studio this afternoon to say they have no representation and no voice in schools they helped to build: We were unable to reach the school, but we note that it is a fully private Mennonite management and they have told parents that their usual support has fallen off and that is why they need to increase fees.

The parents say that the new fees for the new school year have to be paid by 7th, May.
