So, while the Belize Audubon Society wants Belizeans to come out and deepen their appreciation for bird conservation, the Police Department's National Community Policing Unit and its new commander, Assistant Police Commissioner Howell Gillett, are hoping to encourage youths to start saving money from now.
On Saturday, Gillett and several private sector partners organized a financial literacy class for a select group of young people at the Holy Redeemer Credit Union. And the course ended with Gillett and the private sector partners opening credit union accounts for each participant.
