And Fisher told us that she's planning to take a gap year - a much-needed break after all the stress, frustrations, and long nights over the last four years. But when she's ready to head back to sixth form, she'll have a scholarship waiting - courtesy of the Ministry of Human Development. It was presented to her last night.

Marshall Nunez, Disability Desk Coordinator, Min of Human Dev
"Alyssa has made history, it's the very first time in the history of education in this country that someone with a vision impairment has topped a graduating class."

"On behalf of the Minister of Human Development, the Honorable Dolores Balderamos Garcia, the CEOs in the Ministry, Marconi Leal Jr and also the director of the Woman and Family Services Department, as the Disabilities Desk Coordinator, it is our pleasure to announce that the Ministry, the Department, and the Desk will be providing the first year tuition scholarship to Alyssa to any sixth form that she chooses to go. Congratulations."

Fisher isn't sure yet what she wants to major in, but she has a whole year to decide. For now, she wants to engage in community activities to keep herself busy.
