The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today held its third Belize International Partners Conference at the Lord Ashcroft Convention Centre.
The theme this year was investing in the green transition and here's how they keynote speakers explained it:
Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs
"Belize's green transition is in full swing, propelled by the climate emergency and the urgency to transition our economy and society toward resiliency and sustainable development."
John Briceno, Prime Minister

"Belize has taken a strategic approach. We have built a development model that grows our economy, protects and restores nature, empower people and join like-minded people and like-minded partners to protect and preserve our planet."
Daniel Best, President - CDB
"The transition we speak of is not optional. It is the foundation of resilience and prosperity in decades ahead. Distinguished colleagues, let's be honest, our region does not suffer from a shortage of strategies or declarations. What we lack is alignment in execution."

"The truth is that while the Caribbean's green transition has gained momentum, our progress remains uneven and even fragmented. Too often we find ourselves running parallel tracks instead of converging paths."
"We speak of partnerships. We sign communiques. We share declarations. But the real test of collaboration lies not in shared intent but in shared execution."
