And while PAHO's mission is about access to information, an international HIV awareness advocate is here to discuss general access for those living with HIV. Director of Programs for, "ICASO", the International Council of Aids and Service Organizations, Joe Mahase arrived in Belize last week for workshops that reviewed existing HIV policies and those addressing Aids in the workplace. Mahase today told us that his visit and ICASO's role is to give voice to those often not heard.

Joe Mahase,
"My organization, ICASO, what it tries to do is to connect civil society organizations across the world and to mobilize their voice as people from the grassroots and take that to policy platforms across the globe. And if you're going to represent people's voice, you have to hear the voice right from the people. So for me this is extremely important to touch base on the ground."

Mahase leaves Belize tomorrow.
