Dr. Mitchell Ghen - he's the controversial unlicensed doctor that's been doing stem cell procedures in northern Belize. Well, the Belize Medical and Dental Association and the Belize Medical Council have come out swinging against him - demanding that government take action to shut down his operation at Eden Laboratory Limited in Consejo Shores, Corozal.
Well after months of complaints, we are told that there was some action today. According to reports, a police team showed up at Eden Labs today to conduct a search, but Mitchell Ghen was not there. Because of his absence, we understand that the search could not proceed.
Medical professionals have been lobbying against Ghen's operation for months because it has no license to operate but with acquiescence and what owners claim is a memorandum of understanding from the Ministry of Health, it has continued.
