In Cabinet news, there should soon be some relief for patients in needs of haemodialysis. A memorandum of understanding between the World Organization of Renal Therapies, Government and the La Loma Luz Hospital has been drafted and awaits signature. Under the MOU, four new haemodialysis machines will be brought into the country.

The country’s only three haemodialysis units are at the Healthcare Partners Hospital. A session currently costs $550. Most patients require it at least twice a week.
