Belmopan police have not released the details on the charges for the driver of a bus that collided with a car at mile 41 on the Western Highway on Friday. But we do have the details of the person most seriously hurt, 88 year old Joyce Frankson. She was laid out on the highway after being flung from the backseat of her daughters car into the font seat. She suffered serious injuries: 4 broken ribs, 2 fractures to her hands, a broken leg and a fracture of her pelvis. She was transferred from the Western Regional Hospital to the KHMH and is now in a private facility.
As we reported, only one lane was open because of work on the Highway - and when the bus's brakes failed it swerved out into oncoming traffic to avoid a rear end collision. Three people were in the car, the elderly Mrs. Frankson her daughter and her son in law who both received minor injuries.
