Manzanero also discussed the extraordinary number of law enforcement personnel and help workers who have contracted COVID 19.
Here's the rundown:
Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
"To date we have 99 active cases in the law enforcement ranks. You know one person has died, its a female soldier and 145 have recovered. So the total we have had since the beginning of the pandemic is 245 law enforcement of persons that have become infected, so when you match healthcare workers and law enforcement it's a total of 365 that we have to date."
"Healthcare workers, because we are noticing that there is a little bit of a situation where healthcare workers are starting to become more positive. The total we have since the beginng of the epidemic is that in private sector we have 3 active cases right now and in public sector we have 34 active cases in terms of healthcare workers and 15 have recovered from private sector and 68 have recovered from public sector. Between public and private sector we have had to date a total of 120 healthcare workers that have been exposed."
