And from the DHS to BTL… Marconi Leal Jr, whose new position as one of the directors of BTL was just announced this morning, has tested positive for COVID-19. His positive result came over the weekend and he has been recovering since then - but he may have put his fellow board members at risk. The brand new chairman of BTL, former Senator Markhelm Lizarraga, told us today that Leal Jr began feeling sick after the first board meeting of the new directors.

Markhelm Lizarraga, Chairman, BTL

"Unfortunately after our board meeting yesterday evening about 4 o' clock, Director Leal said he was feeling a little cold and he said he needed to go check. I must tell you all the directors wore - we met at the Biltmore Plaza by the way because the Biltmore was able to space us, I insisted that we would be able to have that six foot space between directors, we all wore our masks throughout the meeting, as did Director Leal. Anyhow after the meeting Director Leal decided to go and check because he was feeling cold, that was what he was displaying, and he immediately informed us after he got the results of his test that he had tested positive shortly after dark, I guess, or just before dark. So we immediately informed all our board members, the medical advice was that we isolate, which I'm doing as well, we're isolating and for us to have a rapid test or a test done on Thursday."
