Usually by this time of night, the latest COVID 19 stats would be on the Ministry of Health and Wellness's Facebook page, along with an video of spokesperson Kathleen Azueta Cho breaking them down. But those stats were posted - without the video - earlier today and then taken down, and up to this time, they still haven't been reposted.

The initial stats showed a record breaking 14 deaths in 24 hours, however, we just learnt from Acting DHS Dr Melissa Diaz that those were the total deaths reported over the last fifteen days, including today's two. So, the number of deaths recorded today was three, with the other 11 dying in the past 15 days but their COVID positive status was just made known today. So the revised death total is now 211.

The stats had also included an additional 134 cases identified today - bringing the daily positive rate to 14.8%. The most cases were identified in Belize - which was 45 cases followed by 29 in Cayo. 100 recoveries were also reported, with the recovery percentage at 47.5%.

There are 36 active hospitalizations and 2 people in the ICU. There are currently 4,786 active cases, and 211 deaths overall, bringing the case fatality rate to 2.22%.
