And Chebat wasn't the only public figure to get vaccinated today. Former CEO in the Ministry of Agriculture and Ambassador-designate to Guatemala, Jose Alpuche was also at the Western Regional Hospital today to get his shot. But… he's not a healthcare worker nor is he over the age of 60. So how did he manage to jump the line? We asked the minister.

"He's leaving the country shortly to take up the position in Guatemala as Ambassador and he did ask the Ministry of Health and Wellness for permission to be vaccinated before he left the country."

"Is that how it works, can permission be granted as requested?"

"Well you know we don't want to break protocol, we want the phases to be followed as strictly as possible but neither can we be so rigid that we can't allow a couple exceptions."
