And like the UDP, Wesley High School is also dealing with a dilemma of its own after a teacher from Cayo tested positive for COVID 19. The result was discovered this morning after the Ministry of Health conducted a test this morning. By 11:30, everyone was sent home.

The school was forced to suspend classes for the rest of the week during a critical time in the school year - so close to exams and that much anticipated summer break.

A full sanitization of the school is scheduled for tomorrow and they are expected to reconvene classes on Monday. The school's management is asking parents to be mindful if their child shows any signs of the virus, and to get them tested before they return to school.

Another school, Hattieville Seventh Day Adventist Primary, has also issued a release saying that a student has tested positive for the virus. That student also has relatives that work at the school and so they are suspending face-to-face classes for the time. the Ministry of Health will be doing contact tracing.
