Unvaxxed persons working on buses will need to present their negative test every two week. A release from the department of transport reminds all public transport operators that both drivers and conductors are classified as frontline workers. As such, if they don't present that test, they will be deemed absent from work and subject to disciplinary proceedings, including possible suspension of permits. The release also advises operators that they will be increasing surveillance at bus terminals and checkpoints countrywide to ensure that the public health regulations in place are being adhered to. Those operators are required to have either their vaccination cards or their negative test results on hand at all times.

Earlier this week a cluster of 14 COVID cases was discovered amongst James Bus Line employees.
