It's been less than two weeks since the KHMH confusion with the new CEO. It had been announced that a veterinarian, Dr Michael Tewes, was taking over the country's largest hospital - which had raised some eyebrows since Dr Tewes is related to two members on the board. And to add to that, the decision was made while the chairman was out with COVID. But shortly after, the KHMHA issued a press release saying that the position was still vacant.
And up to today, it remains that way. The chairman, Dr Andre Sosa, told us that they need to find a suitable person to fill the role, but that they're already two months behind.
But what about the rest of the board, with the perception of nepotism since two members are related? Well, we asked Dr Sosa about this.
The acting CEO is Dr Timothy Seguro, who has worked at the hospital for many years and is also the Director of Operations.
