Hurricane Lisa, it wreaked havoc on the lives of thousands of Belizeans, many of whom tonight, still don't have a home to call their own.
And that's just the case for 72-year-old Vilma Logan, a former employee of Mercy Kitchen who had to move in with her neighbour when her house fell down.
It's a situation that Logan has been trying to seek help for since the "all clear" was given on November 3rd, but without much success. She says she's explored avenues but they were all dead ends. Tonight, she's telling her story to 7News now in the hopes that someone might be able to help.

"Now, after the hurricane when you realized as people are starting to clean up, you house has fallen. How quickly did you realize that you can't stay there anymore?"

"The next day. When I came over and check my house and I couldn't get in the house and I look inside the whole flooring was broken up and I stood outside and I started to cry, because I don't know what to do. I stayed and NEMO came and they asked me some questions about how many bedrooms and lots of other things they asked me and I gave them the answers to it and they say that they will come and help."
"Then I started to think and I went to Hands In Hands, because no one came to see me, nobody came to ask me anything more. After the hurricane, everyone came and spoke to me telling me this and that and they don't do anything. That's why I decide to go to Hands In Hands and ask for help and when I got there the young lady told me if I own the land and I told her my uncle owns the land. She asks if I could get a copy of the land paper and I told her yes. I went and got it and they called me for an interview, but when I got there, it was too much questions they asked me that I couldn't even answered all of it, because it's too much personal things I don't think they should ask me."
"I really need help. I need my house. I am begging lodging at this lady house, but I cant stay here for the rest of my life."
Ms Vilma doesn't currently have a phone but you can reach out to her at her neighbour's house by calling 207 0610.
