And while that's Faber's wish, a firefighter might call it an impossible one because they spend their days confronting levels of human error mixed with utter tragedy in which the only certainty is that house fires will occur.
Still, it's not often that Belize's fire personnel are confronted with a triple fatality, especially one involving such young children.
And this afternoon Station Supervisor Mortis told the press that this one hit them hard:
Kenneth Mortis, Station Supervisor
"It's, I cannot overemphasize how tragic it was and you know we had to, we had to be councillors for our team when they came back on the station we had to do a thorough de-briefing for my guys who are not properly equipped to deal with this type of an emergency that we are called to, yeah, it's still shocking and I dread just thinking about it."
Mortis also shared his belief that the wall-wall furnishings was not an obstacle to Adriana Lord and her children's escape. But it did fuel the fire and helped the flames to spread faster. According to Mortis that spread contributed to the quick weakening of the house's beams and once the roof collapsed, rescuing Adriana and the children became an impossibility.
