Tonight there is sad news about Dr. Cecilio Eck. We last heard from him in October when the cancer appeared to be in remissions. Well in December he learned that it has spread to his bones. Here's a message posted today on the Friends of Dr Shrek Page:
Dr. Cecilio Eck
"Good afternoon. I'm back in getting some more treatment for this cancer. One step forward, two steps back. Around the middle of December, I started having pain in my hips. And it progressed so badly that I couldn't even walk."
"After several scans were done here and in Mexico City, I found out that I did have in fact spread to the spine, in the hips and the ribcage. So my chemotherapy was stopped and I started to a new one today. In all this I know that God is present."

For those wishing to help with his cancer treatment, a bake sale fundraiser is being held on Friday at the Coral Grove Medical & Pediatric Center on Friday, January 23rd from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
