OAS Donates Radio & GPS to Adjacency Zone

Today at the western border, the Commander of the BDF and the Deputy Chief of Defense of the Guatemalan Army, Hugo Say Mutzx stood shoulder to shoulder. The event was a ceremony for the presentation of global positioning devices and radios at the OAS Office in the adjacency zone.

The GPS devices will be given to law enforcement officers from both countries to fulfill commitments made under the confidence building measures. Those state that in all military and police patrols within the adjacency zone security forces will use GPS equipment and radio communication gear provided by the OAS.
