In other Foreign Affairs news, the issue of Belizeans getting a visa - or Schengen - waiver for travel to the European Union has been much discussed by the Briceno Administration.
But, 7News has obtained a recent statement from the European Union Press office, where they indicate that they are NOT considering waiving Visa requirements for Belizeans entering Europe.
We asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs today what's the status. Here's what he told us.

Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affairs
"There will be a Schengen waiver the question is when. They are correct that at this moment it is not before the council but the commission is looking at it we are doing the background work that needs to be done for it to be presented, but we will have a Schengen Waiver the only question is when."
