Tomorrow morning, an AIRBUS 320 jet flying out of the state of Louisiana in the United States will land at the PGIA. It's one of the Trump administration's deportee flights - and it will be carrying 25 Belizeans. Most of them are being deported for illegal entry or overstaying their visa. They will be processed by police, Customs and Immigration and then taken in a bus to the Queen Street police station for security processing. After that, almost all of them will be sent home, except for one person, Jody Rhamdas who will be arrested for attempted murder. He was wanted in Belize for a 2023 offence. And there are two other persons of interest to police on the flight who may be held for questioning.

But the flight isn't just for those Belizean Deportees - it carries about 150 passengers and after that first stop in Belize - it will go on to Chile and Peru to drop-off other deportees.
