Belize is coming to Jamaica and Cuba's aid following the destruction of Hurricane Melissa. GOB today announced that it is contributing 200,000 US dollars each to the governments of the two countries to support immediate humanitarian relief. In addition to that, Belize has also dispatched relief supplies to Belizean students in both countries, which included essential personal hygiene items, canned food supplies and cash.

The release ends by saying that Belize stands in solidarity with both Jamaica and Cuba and they will continue to monitor the situation and provide additional support as needed.
