Two Belizeans were recently killed abroad in separate shooting incidents; one in the United States and the other in Guatemala.
36-year-old Belizean Kieshayne Young was fatally shot inside an apartment building in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on July 10.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Young was inside the apartment with three others when a male suspect entered the building, opened fire, and fled on foot. Young was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later confirmed he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Meanwhile, on July 17th in Guatemala, Belizean Tyson Ãlvarez Franzua was also shot and killed in the town of Livingston. Guatemalan police reported that the fatal shooting occurred in the Nevago neighborhood, where Ãlvarez Franzua sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
