And while they are away at West Point, the BDF will be but a mouse click away from Usher and swift. This morning the army launched its first web page and Commander Brigadier General Lloyd Gillet says http://www.bdf.bz will be a way for soldiers abroad to keep in touch. More importantly he says the site will be a means for the army to get its message out.
Brig. Gen. Lloyd Gillet,
"Its very hard to compete to get airtime in the local media so we have to take our stories directly to the public. We will allow them to see what we're doing and we'll also allow BDF soldiers to see what's happening in the force, because when you're in PG you don't know what's happening in the other parts of the country so I am very glad that we're finally able to get into the information technology age."
The website also has a newsletter and recruits can apply online to join the army. You log on to the BDF's website by clicking here.
