It's Friday the 13th and if you are under the age of 16, you need to be home within the next hour because that's when the child protection curfew goes into effect. As we've reported, as of tonight no child can be on the street or at any public place without adult supervision after 8:00. The Ministry of Human Development and the Police Department are running the curfew. CEO Anita Zetina told us this evening what will happen at 8.

Anita Zetina, CEO - Ministry of Human Development
"Children, as I said 16 or under, should not be left unsupervised and it should be at all times, it should not only be now that we are implementing the curfew. And one thing to let the public know and parents and children in particular is that the legislation is there. We are just enforcing the legislation now and so therefore as of tonight, the legislation is going to be enforced."

Zetina says there will be teams scouring the city. She reiterates that it will run indefinitely.
