And there was a non-fatal, but very dramatic accident on the Hummingbird Highway this morning. Pictures were provided to us by a commuter who came upon the scene.
Those images show a truck full of oranges that had keeled off one of the many one-lane bridges on that highway. The loaded truck scraped off the entire bridge-rail and then fell over on the river bank.
It looks serious but no one was hurt - thanks mostly to the rail which seems to have kept the truck from tumbling over into the creek below. The driver said he had a blowout and that caused him to lose control.
