There was a fire in Belize City yesterday which destroyed a home in the Jane Usher Boulevard area.
At around 2:30 p.m., police responded to reports in the area, and when they arrived they saw an unpainted bungalow plycem house, with zinc roofing, on fire. Firefighters on the scene were able to put it out, and afterward, investigators spoke to an area resident. She told police that at around 2:10 p.m., she saw smoke coming from the house of Anthony Flores, and so she called 911 to report the emergency.
She also said that the last time she saw Anthony Flores was about 2 weeks ago when he had departed for Dangriga Town. The house and all its contents were completely destroyed by the fire, and their value is unknown. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined by the fire investigators.
