And from electric buses to electric scooters...
They're mighty cool to zip around on but, tonight, the Ministry of Transport is cautioning all owners of electric motorcycles or (scooters) about licensing and registering them before driving on any public roads.
It comes as there are an increasing number of reports of motorcycle accidents.
And that warning also reminds drivers that they must be in possession of a valid driver's license to operate a motorcycle - meaning that just because it's electric, it's not a toy.
And if you thought your E-bike didn't make the list you'd be wrong it's pictured right alongside the other electric modes of transport which quote: "means a motor vehicle with less than four wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 800 pounds; ' end quote.
The release ends by cautioning that the operation of these vehicles by anyone under the age of 17 is strictly prohibited.
