Last week the new police minister, Julius Espat, spoke about working conditions for police. Today, his Ministry of Infrastructure Development launched a major cleanup effort with a countrywide bushing and basic cleanup of police station compounds countrywide.
Teams from the Road Management Unit embarked on ongoing vegetation control and pothole patching at the Ladyville Police Substation.
The Belmopan Road Unit cleaned up the Roaring Creek Police Station, while the Valley of Peace Police Station and St. Margaret's Station are next. They also assisted the Orange Walk Police Station with landfilling and vegetation control at Belize rural stations.
