That's what Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs called the UDP protestors on Friday. Cal gave the keynote address at the passing out of Police Recruit Intake Number 81. This intake was the group stationed initially to man the frontline as the UDP section of protestors became outraged. In a speech that clearly seemed to have been prepared for him, Cal told them they were facing down "terrorists."

Hon. Ismael Cal, Minister of State in Home Affairs
"The threat of the use of violence or the use of civil unrest to achieve a political objective forms part of the definition of terrorism. Last Friday, Intake 81 was subjected to barrages of marbles shot by supporters of the United Democratic Party. Never before in our history has a group of politically motivated rioters apply such pre-meditated cruelty against our police or attempted to disrupt our National Assembly in session. To these individuals that intentionally caused damage and other acts of violence, it has not been forgotten. Videos are being analyzed and the law will deal with you accordingly. Let not the actions of uncontrollable criminals and terrorists shadow your minds from being true to your pledge."

That was Cal's first ceremonial act as the newly named Minister of State in Home Affairs.
