On Saturday morning, the Prime Minister flew to Sarteneja to meet with an angry northern caucus. But when hungry creditors are knocking down the front door, and angry voters the back, it seems that right about now for the PM, anger is a gift, and all indications are that he calmed the northern troops, and quelled what his own camp called a kindergarten coup. The Prime Minister addressed about 40 persons in a closed door meeting where he made a presentation on a number of issues that the caucus had raised in its august third letter to him. For what insiders have told us, the PM fielded all questions, even the very angry ones and told the gathering that the party will plan the way forward before the end of the year.
The meeting lasted four hours and it was hosted by Deputy Prime Minister and Northern Caucus boss Johnny Briceno. Notably, party co-deputy Vildo Marin did not show.
