The former Jamaican Prime Minister came to Belize on a private jet, and not to be outdone, Belize's Prime Minister today left for Cuba on a charter plane. It's a Maya Island Air, but it was his for the day, as the PM hummed it, turbo prop style to Havana, reportedly to join the 14th Summit of the Non-Aligned Nations. We say reportedly because government has not issued a release, but we are told that the PM was on video shown on CNN this evening from the summit.
The PM will return in time for his State of the Nation dress on Monday. It's an address that the Opposition won't be attending for the 8 year straight. And while the party has never attended the outdoor House sitting, a release says it won't this year because government chanced its municipalities out of promised celebration money. Belize at 25.
