Prime Minister Said Musa and Home Affairs Minister Ralph Fonseca returned from Venezuela yesterday. They attended the third PetroCaribe Summit in Caracas, Venezuela, headed by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. According to an official release, leaders discussed the possibility of a refinery facility in Belize, and cooperation in the generation of electrical energy.
And while that was summit business, in election business, the Musa delegation met with what the release called “relevant authorities” to conclude negotiations for US$10 million in poverty alleviation grants for Belize.
