Merlene Bailey-Martinez Hands in DFC Report

Today at about 4:00 pm, co-chair of the DFC Commission of Inquiry Merlene Bailey Martinez handed in her report to the Cabinet Secretary. The Commission, chaired at the time by the now deceased David Price, held its first public session in August of 2006.

Since then it has been the most televised and troubled Commission in Belize’s history. Apart from being under sustained politico/legal attack, the Chairman passed away, and then the remaining commissioners couldn’t get along, then co-chair Lord went ahead and submitted his report independently in July, now Martinez has submitted hers.
