Is there a possible reconciliation between Mayor Zenaida Moya and Prime Minister Dean Barrow? 7News has confirmed that they met on Monday in the Prime Minister’s Office in Belmopan.
The Prime Minister told us that she asked for an appointment came to see him as Mayor to discuss City Council matters. He says they spoke generally about the party’s disciplinary proceedings against her. But according to the PM, he told the Mayor that he could not speak for the party on the disciplinary matters – and advised her that she would have to go to the party. But who’s the party? The prime minister suggested that she could seek an audience with the Central Executive which is presently considering the matter.
And what about the lawsuit Moya has filed against the UDP – and the request for an injunction. Well, that’s scheduled to go back to court tomorrow, and we’ll see how it goes.
