The proposed ninth amendment to the constitution was introduced on July 22nd - and since then it has generated robust, passionate debate across the country.

Well, a week from tomorrow it is expected to be passed by the House. Word went out - unofficially - today that there will be a House Meeting next Friday to pass the ninth.

Friday October 21st., will make it exactly ninety one days since it was first presented in the House. A 90 day cooling off period is required after the first reading.

No order papers have been sent out to House members - so as we said it is unofficial, but multiple sources confirm the date and the business to be tabled.

Will there be protests by opponents of the Ninth, or a show of support by pro-UDP crowds? If the UDP holds form, we should expect a crowd, but as for opponents, that depends largely on the PUP - which has much of its own party business still unsettled at this time - and we'll tell you more about that later.
