The bickering continued like that for another 5 minutes. But when he got outside there was no Madam Speaker to intervene as the PM took the tough questions from the Press:

Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow, Prime Minister

"I don't see how at this stage now that matter can be revive in the house. I am sure that properly it can't and that's why ultimately the Speaker had to shutdown the member for Cayo South. But if what he was trying to say is true the suggestion that my son is somehow concerned with one of the companies that make up the sort of umbrella group for which Brads was the representative, I don't know what that has to do with the price of rice. It was not a contract that I gave, It was not a contract that my ministry was in charge of evaluating. This was done properly by the lotteries committee. If some company owned by my son is somehow in partnership with the umbrella company, what on earth is wrong with that? He is not criminal. He has no kind of a record and as I said there is no conflict of interest because I had nothing to do with the evaluation of the bids which evaluation ultimately resulted in Brads securing the contract."

"PM, why does it appear that you do not want to know who the shareholders are behind these offshore companies linked to Brads company?"

Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow, Prime Minister
"I did not say that I don't want to know ma'am, I said that the bids were properly scrutinized by the lotteries tender committee and when they made their selection, that had to go as well to the contractor general and so everything is above board. I told you I don't know who the shareholders who the company that won the bid are. I didn't need to know, because I had nothing to do with the evaluation and the examination of the bill, but I am telling you further what Espat was trying to get at is that my son my somehow be connected to a company that is in turn connected with the company that won. If that is so, how does that matter."

Reporter
"Cronyism."

Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow, Prime Minister
"That's just it. That's outrageous. I had nothing to do with that bill."
