Another piece of legislation that passed in the Senate today was a motion to amend its Standing Orders. It's to make accommodations for socially distant meetings of the upper house. It seems everyone is holding large meetings using virtual tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. After the Standing Orders Committee discussed this motion, it was passed without opposition.
Of interesting note is that this is the second Senate meeting that has been held to take on business coming from the last House Meeting on February 5th. As viewers are aware, there is usually a House Meeting, and then a single Senate meeting to deal with everything. We are told that there are still 2 more pieces of legislation that have to be dealt with at the Senate from the last House Meeting.
