Today we asked the Prime Minister about those remarks over the past few months which have angered and insulted many in the public.

His remarks about a lack of talent. nationally, and a lack of sacrifice in the public service and teaching professions, have certainly stirred social media outrage, so we asked the PM this afternoon if he's out of touch:

Jules Vasquez

"But what people are saying right now about you Prime Minister is that you're out of touch, you're arrogant and your condescending in your remarks about the teachers and public officers and about others. How do you respond to that?"

Hon. John Briceno - Prime Minister

"I have never considered myself as a person who is arrogant, I think I'm the same person I was before I was elected Prime Minister. A lot of people tell me do you feel any different, I said absolutely not, I'm simply the same person. Now maybe sometimes I may be a little bit aggressive in the house and probably I may need to tone that down and that is something to do and if people think now I'm becoming too aggressive or arrogant, maybe I need to take a look at myself and see where I'm going down that road because that certainly is not the way I would want to be remembered."
