And while the Prime Minister struck at the unions from afar in Orange Walk - as you heard from the PSU president earlier, they want to talk directly to him.
But what if he's just too busy to sit across from the unions at a negotiating table all day?
The President of the APSSM reacts to that one:
Sharon Fraser - President, APSSM "Too busy? No man, can't be and maybe it is that he is, he's to get unbusy and then pay attention to what is happening."
Jules Vasquez "Are you all insulted by the prime minister taking a few days leave or he left the country, it's not on official business from what we know, is that an insult that in the middle of a joint national strike, the prime minister would say, alright well I could leave that on auto-pilot, unno no really matter, I have the masses with me?"
Sharon Fraser "Well to me, it speaks volumes because in a time like this when there are national issues, what greater national issue this could be than anything that you are going to take leave? You have not shown yourself, you have not come to the table, I don't know, like brother Henry, I cannot speak for him, I just know that I don't need to put any classification on his absence, the people of Belize can make that assumption for themselves."
