Last week, we told you that yet another CEO was looking to leave the post. Reports were that CEO Rey David Guerrero was having his own personality differences with the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing, and Development, Julius Espat.
But earlier today, a release from the ministry explained, quote, "The MIDH is the amalgamation of the former Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Housing. Mr. Guerrero was appointed as a second CEO within the ministry, with direct responsibility for housing. This was deemed necessary to undertake the rebuilding and restructuring of the former Ministry of Housing… After one year, the MIDH is even more poised to effectively and efficiently carry out its full mandate with a streamlined ministerial structure." End quote.
So while they say that the post itself has become unnecessary, sources tell us it's the personality clashes. Still, the ministry thanked Guerrero for his contribution and wished him luck as he goes back to his private sector ventures.
We reached out to Guerrero for comment but he has not responded.
