But while water commuters are complaining of high prices, Bullet Tree villagers were out today protesting against what they say is the de-reservation of community land allegedly for sale to private interests. They say the two acre plot of land was being surveyed, and has the pegs to prove it. That land was supposedly reserved for recreational purposes, including a basketball court and a park. And now the villagers want to know, who does this land belong to?
Chairman of Bullet Tree
"Well right now I am a UDP sitting chairman right but as a concerned villager along with these people, we came out to see about this issue right because in my hand I have a map."
Reporter
"When you say this issue, what you mean by this issue? Land?"
Chairman of Bullet Tree
"This is a land issue. The problem is we find out that there is subwaying a piece let's call it reserve because on the map it is showing that it is an open space for a park and open space for a basketball court. My concern is that I'm there to clarify something because out there, there is a lot of rumors saying that the chairman knows what is happening here. I'll be honest to the entire village and whosoever is watching this video as the chairman, I don't know and I don't have nothing to see with this, that is my important message to the village as the chairman, I don't have nothing to see with this, I don't know who is doing this, the villagers want to know who is doing this, that is the question."
