Political observers will note that some ministers and senior public officers share are loading up on those frequent flier miles. All this when - acceding to what the Cabinet secretary told this newsroom - there's an active travel ban.
But tonight, all that excess travel could be coming up on an executive speed bump. That's because of a decision made by PM Bricenco to review all ministerial duty leave applications in order to decide which are necessary and which aren't.
Now it's not an all-out travel ban but it is a greater consideration of where and for what purpose Belize's minister's should travel. We heard more about the decision this afternoon from Minister of Foreign Affairs Eamon Courtenay.
