And continuing with the cruise news, tonight there is confirmation of the story we first reported last night. Minister of Sustainable Development Orlando Habet has confirmed to KREM News that NEAC voted a unanimous "NO" to the Waterloo project. The reason he gave was that Waterloo will only build out the bulk storage facility at the Port of Belize if it gets the Cruise Port approved. He indicated to KREM that was a deciding factor.

Reports we received from Belmopan were that government members of NEAC were instructed by their higher up's to just vote "no" on a project that it seems has lost all political favor with the current administration.

Of course, this will likely be interpreted as opening a war with the Ashcroft Alliance, which is sure to test the Briceno Administration. We'll keep following this one closely.
