And a "fightacious" Faber also used the opportunity to take a dig at his opponent, Ian Jones, who has been endorsed as the UDP candidate for Collet.

When the media asked him about hurricane relief efforts in his constituency, and whether he'd been working alongside Jones as a Facebook post suggested, he laughed, saying that Jones took the photo op, but did little else.

Patrick Faber, Area Rep, Collet

"My opponent wasn't on the ground, my opponent piggybacked, side in, however you want to put it, I watched as he did that. When the CEMO people came and invited me to go and tour the area with them, he saw me when I passed his mother's home and came to the office and just walked along and then made a post saying, ah, I'm walking hand in hand with Patrick Faber but this guy is just a fraud. And then later on put on post, linked it to our constituency post saying… anyways, he's just a joke. But we have received support from the government, we have been helping significantly those who we can help, the needs of our constituency, the needs are huge and so we have to really, we're still dependent on bigger help but from the funds that they've been able to give us, we've given I believe about 300 families just small assistance so that they could buy their little zinc and plywood and stuff and we have given over $1,500 pantry bags over the time of the hurricane as well and our work continues into Christmas, a lot of people don't have the very basics for Christmas and so I've been working to make sure that that happens."
