And, achieving acceptance for that plan was paramount to William Dawson while he was alive. That's why - even at the height of his illness - he insisted on attending the cabinet retreat last week to get acceptance for the plan. The Minister of Home Affairs told us more:

"I said Mr Dawson please do not come to the cabinet retreat the following week because he had been preparing along with Mr Rosado, deputy Rosado the launch of the multi-sectoral approach which again over the last year a lot of work has gone into that with the LIU and I said Mr Dawson please focus on your health, Dr. Rosado and myself can handle it. And he said to me Minister if it is the lats thing that I do I need to let Cabinet know that we believe in these young men and women. And it's not just about letting Cabinet know, it's about letting those young men know."
No funeral announcements have yet been made.
