Speaker Says Managing House Is Like Tending To A Kindergarten Class

Indeed, Madam Speaker had her hands full today - trying to keep unruly members within the guardrails of the standing orders. And at one point she conceded the obvious, saying it was like overseeing a kindergarten class:

The speaker also noted that the parliamentarians were on better behavior while visiting school children sat in the gallery for part of the morning session. After the children left….well that's when the real kindergarten got into session.
